May 2, 2023, Special Election for Clare Public Schools

Sheridan Township will be consolidating with the City of Clare for the upcoming May 2, 2023, Special Election. Sheridan Township Hall will not be open for the May 2, 2023 election. Voters wishing to vote in person on Election Day will need to go to the Pere Marquette Library, 185 E 4th Street, Clare, MI 48617 between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm to cast their vote.

If you wish to obtain an absentee ballot for the upcoming May 2, 2023 Special Election, please call the Clare County Clerk office at 989-539-7131 option 2 or email the office at: elections@clareco.net.

Wind and Solar Farms – Exploratory Meeting (Ongoing)

4-person committee reviewing the pros and cons of permitting the building of wind and solar farms in Sheridan Township. The committee will investigate residents concerns and potential issues as well as examine ordinances and building requirements. Meetings are open to the public.
